Ghana Premier League outfit Berekum Chelsea Football Club have appointed Samuel Boadu as head coach.
The club announced the signing in an official statement earlier today and added that the former Accra Hearts of Oak SC top technical official was appointed based on his “rich experience and expertise”.
Details of the appointment reportedly has Boadu signed to a one year deal in the wake of the big hire; Boadu’s surprisingly lengthy absence from Ghana’s top flight comes to an end with this deal.
Boadu replaces Christopher Ennin as Berekum Chelsea head coach two games into the second half of the 2023-2024 Ghana Premier League season.
Former Medeama SC head coach Boadu joins a Chelsea team that ranks seventh in the 18 team league standings with 30 points from winning nine games, drawing three and losing seven others in 19 games overall.
The club is coming off a 3-1 loss to Bibiani Gold Stars and a 3-0 win over Karela United two games into the second half of the season.
Boadu gained wide acclaim after leading Hearts to the Ghana Premier League title, FA Cup and President’s Cup.
