Four representatives from Team Ghana have secured spots in the semifinals of both the men’s and women’s 200m events at the ongoing African Games.

Janet Mensah secured her place in the women’s event with an impressive time of 23.75s, winning her heat convincingly.
In the men’s event, Joseph Amoah clocked 20.91s and Ibrahim Fuseini recorded 21.02s, both winning their respective heats comfortably.

Solomon Hammond also secured his place in the semifinals with a time of 21.32s, finishing second in his heat.
The women’s semifinals are scheduled to commence at 16:45 GMT, followed by the men’s at 17:10 GMT.
