Ghana midfielder Thomas Partey has reflected on injuries that have stymied his career with English Premier League side Arsenal and the Black Stars of Ghana.
In an interview with Arsenal media, the former Atletico Madrid player talked about his football journey from Ghana to Spain and England.
Before suffering a thigh injury in October, 2023, Partey had featured just four times in the Premier League for The Gunners before making a return to action earlier this month.
Injuries forced Partey to miss out on Ghana’s 2023 AFCON campaign in Cote D’Ivoire that had Ghana crash out at the preliminary stage without a win.
“It’s been tough for me, being injured for a long time, but now I am ready to give everything I can to the team. Anything I can add to our level, I will do. I worked hard during my rehab to be able to come back to the level I need to be at. Now I want to get back with the team.”
Partey has played sparingly for Arsenal in the Premier since his return from injury and played 64 minutes in a friendly game played behind closed doors against Queens Park Rangers.
Arsenal lost 4-0 ahead of an important league game against Manchester City on Sunday, March 31 at 15:30 GMT.
