Dreams FC’s prolific striker, John Antwi, has expressed his determination to clinch the CAF Confederation Cup title this season with his team.

Following a promising performance against Zamalek in the first leg at Cairo International Stadium over the weekend, which saw a packed crowd, the reigning FA Cup Champions are gearing up for the crucial second leg of the semis at Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Sunday, April 28.

Antwi, who has previously played for Al-Ahly, Ismaily SC, and Pyramids FC, aims to leverage his experience and insights into the Egyptian side to aid Dreams FC in this pivotal match.

In an exclusive interview with Citi Sports leading up to the crucial encounter, Antwi conveyed his confidence in the team’s abilities under the guidance of Abdul Karim Zito, believing they possess all the necessary elements to secure their maiden victory in the competition.

I’ll be very happy.
I’ve gone to the final couple of times in the Confederation Cup and in the Champions League also, so winning this tournament will be very good for my CV and I think I’ll be happy to win it.

John Antwi got to the finals of the competition with Pyramids FC in the 2019/2020 season where they lost to Moroccan side RS Berkane in the finals.

The 31-year-old experienced forward has netted six goals for the Ghanaian team in the current tournament, matching his teammate Abdul Azziz Issah’s tally.

Ahead of the game on Sunday, Dreams, have announced a free gate for the popular stands and the Center line of the stadium for their upcoming game against Zamalek in the CAF Confederation Cup.

HAVE YOU SEEN THIS? Spread the word, let’s meet on Sunday.
