Black Stars winger Abdul Fatawu Issahaku is reflecting on his big performance as Leicester City inch closer to securing qualification to the English Premier League.

The 20 year old scored his first ever hat-trick in his professional career as Leicester demolished Southampton 5-0 in the Sky Bet English Championship. (Click highlighted text to read full story)

Issahaku topped his big night with an assist to Jamie Vardy for Leicester City’s fourth goal in the game that gives The Foxes a four point lead atop the standings.

Leicester City need a win in one of two remaining games to gain promotion to the EPL just a season after getting relegated from the elite division.

Issahaku improved his tally in the 2023-2024 league season to six goals and 12 assists in 39 games as he inches towards the concluding his loan spell from Sporting Lisbon.

In the aftermath of taking the game ball for the first time in his career, Issahaku talked about the big win and added perspective on Leicester’s Premier League quest.

“Last night was boom. What a game from the lads and a great atmosphere from the amazing supporters. I love this team thank you all for your support, one more step to the main purpose let’s get it done together” he wrote on his X page.
