Dreams Football Club and Zamalek Sporting Club will face off in the CAF Confederation Cup for the first time in the competition’s history.
Dreams FC beat Malian side Stade Malien 3-2 on aggregate on the back of scoring a 2-0 win in Bamako and drawing 1-1 in Kumasi.
The Dawu-based club have scored the most goals (14) in the 2023-2024 Confederation Cup campaign with the Ghana Premier League club having scored one more goal than Morocco side USM Berkane.
The quarterfinal game billed to take place in Egypt on Sunday, April 21 at 16:00 GMT also has the competition’s top goal contributors in line to face off.
Dreams FC’s John Antwi and Abdul Aziz Issah lead the category with each player registering four goals and two assists.
Zamalek’s Zizo is next on the list with three goals and three assists to his name ahead of the two legged tie with the winner progressing to the final.
Antwi and Aziz Issah’s contributions have highlighted the brilliant run Dreams FC have had in its debut campaign in the CAF Confederation Cup.
Algeria side USM Alger take on RS Berkane in the other semifinal tie.
