Ghana forward Jordan Ayew is inching closer to registering double digits in assists for the 2023-2024 English Premier League season.

The Black Stars player recorded an assist in Crystal Palace’s 2-0 win over Newcastle United for Palace’s third win in a row.

Palace have bagged wins over Liverpool at Anfield and at Selhurst Park against West Ham United in recent games to distance themselves from the relegation zone.

Ayew scored his seventh assist for the league season by aiding Jean-Philippe Mateta fetch the first of two goals in the game with a neat passing exchange in the 55th minute.

The veteran forward played 73 minutes and completed 32 of 37 passes, created a big chance, won seven of 13 ground duels and successfully completed two of six dribble attempts.

Jordan has four goals in the league taking his goal contribution tally to 11 for the season which is the second most in Crystal Palace.
