Arsenal Football Club manager, Mikel Arteta, has expressed how happy he is having Thomas Partey around the club.

He said this in his pregame interview ahead of The Gunners English Premier League game against Brighton and Hove Albion.

Arsenal head into the game on the back of a 2-0 win over Luton Town in a game that marked Partey’s first start for Arsenal since August 2023.

Partey has missed a huge chunk of the season due to injuries and has just seven league appearances in the 2023-2024 season. In a separate interview, the Ghanaian talked about his desire to stay at Arsenal and Arteta echoed similar sentiments. (Click highlighted text to read full story)

“We need him because he’s a top player and a very important player for us and you could see on the pitch the impact he can have for us. He’s our player, he’s got one more year on his contract and I’m really happy with him.”
