WAFU U-17 Qualifiers: Ghana face stern test against Cote D’ivoire

Ghana’s Under-17 team the Black Starlets have been drawn against Cote D’Ivoire and Benin in Group A of the WAFU Zone B U17 championships which will be held at the Accra Sports Stadium.

Burkina Faso, Niger, Togo, and Nigeria will compete in Group B of the competiton which also doubles as  a qualifier.

The competition begins on May 15 and ends on May 28, 2024.

Two nations that advance to the competition’s final will automatically qualify for the AFCON U17 tournament the following year.

 


The Black Starlet’s have a new technical team led by former Black stars midfielder Laryea Kingston who is being assisted by Jacob Nettey, a former Hearts of Oak captain, and Nana Agyemang ,a CAF License A and UEFA License B holder .

 

The new technical team has been charged with assembling a formidable side for the upcoming WAFU B U-17 Cup of Nations in Accra in 2024, as well as the TotalEnergies U-17 Africa Cup of Nations.
