Accra Hearts of Oak Sporting Club Board Member, Vincent Sowah-Odotei, has hit hard at detractors of his appointment to the new management group of the Phobian Club.

The veteran football administrator was appointed to the new Hearts board that has Ghana Tourism Authority CEO Akwasi Agyeman, Professor Agyemang Badu Akorsa, Ghana Chamber of Telecommunication among others on it.

Addressing the issue on Citi TV’s Football Made in Ghana, Sowah-Odotei questioned why he shouldn’t be on the board in the face of widespread dissatisfaction.

“People should not just be sentimental why don’t you want Odotei on the board? What is my crime? Nothing. People forget that when I returned from Parliament in 2021, we won the league, we won the FA Cup, we’ve been able to finally develop Pobiman.”

“What supporters must realize, I don’t think that when Hearts is not doing well, honestly I don’t think they feel it more than those of us who put our money and our time in. So I believe, I’ve contributed my quota.”

Hearts rank ninth in the league ahead of Saturday, April 20’s league game against Legon Cities.
