Black Stars forward Antoine Semenyo says he is focused on getting wins with Ghana’s National Men’s Football Team first before laying out his plan for the 2024-2025 season.

He said this in an interview after the Black Stars training session at the University of Ghana Stadium in Legon ahead of 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers later in June.

Ghana take on Mali in Bamako on June 6 and Central African Republic on June 10 at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi.

Ghana head into the double header ranked fourth in Group I with three points after beating Madagascar but losing 1-0 to Comoros.

Semenyo’s side AFC Bournemouth had a rough start to life under Andoni Iraola but recovered to finish 12th in the season with Semenyo producing eight goals and two goals in 33 league games.

“I think it’s a good season, I got the goals I wanted and I feel like as a team, we’ve done really well so I think it’s just planning for the next season. Obviously I’m focused on the games here, make sure we win and then get ready for new season.”
