Sporting Director of Austin Football Club, Rodolfo Borrell, has refused to comment on the club’s standing with Black Stars winger Osman Bukari.
Red Star Belgrade winger Bukari has been linked with a transfer from the Serbian club to the Major League Soccer (MLS) side after another successful season for Bukari.
The 25 year old won the Serbian Cup and produced seven goals and five assists in 24 league games in the 2023-2024 season.
Speaking on the reported transfer involving the former FC Nantes player, the Austin FC Sporting Director declined the request stating,
“I don’t want to make any comment on a player that doesn’t belong to Austin FC. In terms of the rumour, there are many rumours…the reality is I’m not going to comment on a player that doesn’t belong to Austin FC.”
Austin FC are ranked third in the Western Conference standings with six wins, four losses and four draws ahead of its matchup against San Jose Earthquake on Sunday, May 26.
Bukari played for Ghana at the 2023 AFCON in Cote D’Ivoire.
