Ghana winger Abdul Fatawu Issahaku is grateful and honoured to be named as Leicester City Football Club’s Young Player of the Year Award.

He said this via a statement on his X (formerly Twitter) page after being voted as The Foxes Young Best Player in the 2023-2024 season.

Issahaku, who is on a year loan from Portuguese side Sporting Lisbon, starred in Leicester’s title winning Sky Bet English Championship campaign.

The 20 year old produced six goals and 13 assists in 39 league games as Leicester City gained promotion to the English Premier League.

After getting praised by Black Stars teammate Mohammed Kudus for his outstanding efforts in the season, Issahaku voiced his feelings after the big win. (Click highlighted text to read full story)
