Ghana Premier League Champion Seidu Dauda gets hero’s welcome in hometown [VIDEO]

FC Samatex 1996 midfielder, Seidu Dauda Yussif was warmly welcomed in his hometown of Nyinasin, Cape Coast, after clinching the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League title.

FC Samatex 1996, secured their maiden league triumph by finishing on top of the league standings with 61 points on the back of winning 16 of 17 games at the Nsenkyire Park in Samreboi.

Dauda played a key role in Samartex’s league title win in only its second season in the elite division after gaining promotion to compete in the Premier League just two seasons ago.

The 23 year old central midfielder registered three goals and five assists in 28 league appearances for Samartex in the just ended season.

Hailing from Nyinasin in Ghana’s Central Region, Dauda received widespread admiration from local football enthusiasts on his return and was greeted by a jubilant crowd threw a celebratory parade for him.

Currently on a break, FC Samatex 1996 will reconvene on July 2nd to commence preparations for the upcoming 2024/25 CAF Champions League campaign. The team plans to hold their training camp in Ghana’s Eastern Region. Scroll down to watch video.
