Highlife musician turned youth football coach, Lucky Mensah, says he is determined to use football to help young individuals in Ghana.

He said this in an exclusive interview with Channel One Sports on the sidelines of a friendly game involving his Lucky Mensah Soccer Academy.

In the exclusive chat, he revealed that he setup the Academy in 2019 to help develop young footballers after his ambitions of a professional football career was curtailed by injuries and just bad luck.

“The distractions can easily make you quit but I am determined to help young talented young footballers. When I look at how talented they are, it hurts me to not pay attention to them because I could be the vessel.”

“I know a lot of people who started and stopped midway because it’s not easy but for me I am determined to use football to help talented young individuals.”

He added that his Soccer Academy has close to 60 children in camp grouped into Under 10’s, Under 13’s, Under 15’s and Under 17’s.
