The German city Frankfurt, is serving as one of the host cities for the 2024 Euros that is taking place in Europe’s largest economy.
The city has already hosted three games at the group stage with another involving Slovakia and Romania due to be played on Wednesday, June 26 and will host a Round of 16 stage game on Monday, July 1.
Eintracht Frankfurt, the city’s famed football club, recently won the UEFA Europa League under former head coach Oliver Glasner and was the home of former Black Stars striker Tony Yeboah in his prime years in the Bundesliga.
In his five year run at the club, Yeboah scored 68 goals in 123 games and won the Bundesliga top scorer award twice in 1993 and 1994.
Showing massive appreciation to Yeboah’s contribution, a giant mural of Yeboah is displayed on a building in the city.

A Frankfurt fan was also spotted online with a giant tattoo of Yeboah’s jersey number (9) and name on his back. Yeboah went on to star in the English Premier League with Leeds United before ending his career in Qatar with Al-Gharafa.
