Former Dreams FC defender, Abdul Jalilu, has stated that he decided to move to Rwanda and join Mukura Sport Vision Football Club, to change his environment.

He said this after agreeing to a two year deal with the club following his exit from Ghana Premier League side Dreams FC; Dreams ended the 2023-2024 Ghana Premier League season ranked ninth.

The 24 year old played a starring role in Dreams FC’s brilliant run to the CAF Confederation Cup semifinal in its debut campaign in the competition.

Jalilu played 27 times in the Ghana Premier League and scored once and played 11 times in the CAF Confederation Cup and registered a goal.

Though Jalilu admitted that he knew nothing about Rwanda and Rwandan football, he indicated the reason for the move according to IGIHE Sports. (Click highlighted text to read full story)

“I talked to many teams in Rwanda but I followed my heart and that’s why I chose Mukura. I was born and raised in Ghana. I decided to come to Rwanda because sometimes it’s good when you change your environment.”

His move comes in the wake of former Kumasi Asante Kotoko midfielder Richmond Lamptey joining fellow Rwandan side APR. (Click highlighted text to read full story)
