Bofoakwa Tano head coach John Eduafo has stated that Nsoatreman Football Club deserve to win the 2024 MTN FA Cup.

He said this in a post game interview after his team lost 5-4 on penalties with Forster Apetorgbor scoring the winning penalty kick after the game ended 1-1 after extra time. (Click highlighted text to read full story)

Bofoakwa Tano put up a great fight despite being relegated from the 2023-2024 Ghana Premier League season after finishing 17th in the 18 team league standings.

“We took the lead, they came back strongly and they equalized the goal at the tail end and penalties is on everybody’s game and we missed the chance, they took their chance. They have won, they deserve it. They are equally a better side so they deserve it. Nsoatreman deserved to win the trophy and that is why they have won.”

He also commented on goalkeeper Emmanuel Kobi’s blunder that led to Sadat Mohammed’s equalizer in the 79th minute stating,

“Good goalkeepers easily concede cheaper goals. They played together as a team and we have lost it. It’s one of those things.”

By winning the FA Cup, Nsoatreman will represent Ghana in the CAF Confederation Cup.
