Accra Hearts of Oak Head Coach Aboubakar Ouattara

Accra Hearts of Oak Sporting Club head coach, Ouattara Aboubakar, says his team’s destiny is in its hands as the Phobian club battles to stay in the Ghana Premier League.

Hearts of Oak rank 14th in the 18 team league standings at the time of writing this piece and are coming off a goalless draw against city rival and fellow strugglers Accra Great Olympics in the penultimate round.

Recognizing his team’s impressive display against Olympics, Ouattara bemoaned his team’s position believing they would rank higher in the standings had the replicated the display against Great Olympics. (Click highlighted text to read full story)

He added that the team controls its destiny as it attempts to score three points in a must win game against Bechem United on Saturday, June 15 in Bechem.

“We are starting preparation from Tuesday before we go to Bechem for the last match. The future is in our hands not from anybody but from us. We are going to fight to get that win stay in the league.”

Bechem rank seventh in the league heading into the final round league games.
