Accra Hearts of Oak Sporting Club, head coach, Aboubakar Ouattara, believes his team played very well against city rival Accra Great Olympics and deserved a win.
He added that had his team played the way it did against Olympics, Hearts wouldn’t be in the low position it occupies in the penultimate round of the 2023-2024 Ghana Premier League season.
He said this in his post game interview after Hearts drew goalless with Olympics at the Accra Sports Stadium in the immediate past round.
The barren result keeps Hearts in 14th place in the 18 team league standings at the time of publishing and in serious danger of getting relegated from the elite division.
“I expected more than that- draw-but it’s football. Can’t say much because we didn’t score we accept the result. That is the question I was asking myself. If we had played all matches like this, I think this wouldn’t be our position.”

Hearts take on Bechem United on June 15 to close out the season.
