Ghana beat Mali 2-1 prior to the win over CAR with both games being 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers; the results have moved Ghana to first place in Group I standings with nine points at the time of writing.
“It was a very difficult and cagey encounter and I think the team defied all of them. Nonetheless, we still have much to do because looking at the performance yesterday, there is much more room for improvement.”

“There are one or two areas that the coach must look at and improve but generally I liked the performance of the team.”
The team that finishes top of Group I qualifies automatically to the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
