Black Stars midfielder Mohammed Kudus says it doesn’t matter how Ghana qualifies to the 2026 FIFA World Cup but what matters most is that Ghana qualifies to compete at the upcoming competition.

He said this in a pre game presser ahead of the Black Stars 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Central African Republic at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi on Monday, June 10.

Ghana rank third in Group I with six points trailing leaders Madagascar and second ranked Comoros on goal difference with all three nations having six points three games into the qualifiers. (Click highlighted text to read full highlights)

The Black Stars bagged a 2-1 win over Mali in Bamako despite not playing at their best and Kudus believes the most important thing to the team is to get to the World Cup and nothing else.

“The belief has always been there, we all want to go the World Cup that is our ultimate goal, it doesn’t matter how we get it. We just have to do our best and get the results.”
