Kumasi Asante Kotoko Sporting Club head coach, Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum, has commended his teams for delivering a solid performance in its latest win in the 2023-2024 Ghana Premier League season.

In Kotoko’s penultimate game of the campaign, the Porcupine Warriors scored a 2-0 win over Real Tamale United (RTU) at the Nalerigu Sports Complex.

Patrick Acquah and Bernard Somuah scored goals in the second half for the win and in his post game interview, Dr. Ogum commended his players for the win on the back of a long trip from Kumasi.

“Yes it-their performance- wasn’t. I think they were able to move a lot which was okay and then fortunately, the sun, the temperature came down so it was okay for us.”

Kotoko, ranked eighth at the time of writing, take on already relegated Karela United to close out the season on Saturday, June 15 at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi.

On playing at home to see out the season, Dr. Ogum called on the need to win stating,

“That will be the last game and it will be at home, we need to let the fans go home with something that is refreshing in their minds so we need to go all out and make sure that we play good quality football and also get the results.”
