President of the Ghana Paralympic Committee, Samson Deen, has called on the Minister of Youth and Sports Mustapha Ussif to aid the Paralympic outfit’s preparation to the 2024 Paralympics.

Five para-athletes have qualified to compete in the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, France which runs from August 28 to September 8.

The Ghana Paralympic Committee President made this call when he led an entourage to pay a courtesy call on the Sports Minister after winning the Amputee AFCON marking the second edition in a row Ghana has emerged as champions.

After laying out the ambitions of the committee for its trip to Paris later this year, Samson Deen called on the Sports Minister for help to prepare the athletes for the Games stating,

“I will keep on giving him the assurances that I can that we will go to the Paralympic Games as contenders to mount the podium and not as tourists. What we will need again from him is to make sure that we get the best of preparation to the Games.”
