Real Tamale United (RTU) Football Club head coach, Iddi Manzah Alhassan, is confident that his team will make a quick return to the Ghana Premier League.

He said this after a 2-0 loss to Kumasi Asante Kotoko officially confirmed RTU’s demotion to the Access Bank Division One Zone A.

RTU conceded goals from Paul Acquah in the 60th minute and Bernard Somuah in the 85th minute off a beautifully worked goal. Kotoko move up to eight place in the standings at the time of writing.

The loss condemned RTU to bottom place in the league standings but Manzah Alhassan believes a quick return to the elite division is on the cards for RTU.

“What I will have for them (supporters) is to give them hope that we are going out now but next year we are coming back to the Premier League so they should keep supporting the team and we will give the best of us all.”

RTU take on Dreams FC and Accra Great Olympics on June 12 and June 15 to close out the season.
