Black Stars winger Osman Bukari made his debut in the Major League Soccer (MLS) for Austin FC after signing for the team in June.
Bukari played 57 minutes in Austin’s 2-2 draw with Charlotte FC as a starter marking his first ever outing for the club after joining from Red Star Belgrade in Serbia. (Click highlighted text to read full story)
Speaking in a post-game presser, Austin FC head coach Josh Wolff, praised Bukari’s exploits in the game considering the lack of a preseason run with the team.
“I think Buka (Osman Bukari), again, has some qualities that are going to unbalance. I think right away he gave some change of speed, he certainly got around the corner a couple of times and I think Gyasi (Zardes) is on the end of it, if he takes it well, it’s a fantastic start to the game but all in all I though he did well.”

“I think the more he gets familiar with the group and the more the group gets familiar with him and kind of his unique qualities, the better it will be.”

Bukari is in line to feature in Austin’s next game on July 27 in the Leagues Cup.
