Ghana’s athletes have received new phones in the lead up to the commencement of the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, France.
This year’s Olympics takes place in the French capital from July 26 to August 11 with over 10,000 athletes set to compete in multiple sports disciplines.
Nine athletes will represent Ghana at the Olympics and ahead of the Games, each athlete has received the new Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 phone.
Samsung is an official partner of this year’s Olympics and each of the participating athletes will receive the handset from the phone manufacturer. Para-athletes will receive their phones when the Paralympics commence on Wednesday, August 28.
Ghana will be represented at this year’s Olympics by high jumper Rose Yeboah, swimmers, Harry Stacey and Joselle Mensah with the remaining members coming from the Men’s Relay Team.

The Men’s Relay Team is headlined by Benjamin Azamati, Joseph Paul Amoah, Isaac Botsio and Fuseini Ibrahim with the likes of Abdul-Rasheed Saminu in as backups. Amoah will be Ghana’s Flagbearer at the opening ceremony.
