Ghana’s Beach Soccer team, also known as the Black Sharks, gained an early advantage by defeating the Sand Elephants of Cote D’Ivoire 5-3 at Keta’s Emancipation Beach Resort in the Beach Soccer AFCON qualifiers.

Ghana’s goals were scored by Alfred Kwame Torsu, with Wise Nyamadi and Ticor Kini each contributing two goals.

Although the Ivorians scored three goals, it wasn’t enough to tie the game.
The Black Sharks will now head to Abidjan for the return leg on Saturday.

Ranked among the top twelve teams in Africa, Ghana will face Cote D’Ivoire again, vying for a spot in the AFCON tournament.
The qualifiers will determine the seven teams joining host Nation Egypt for the 2024 Beach Soccer AFCON.
