Legon Sharks won the 2024 Channel One TV Swimming Championship

Head coach of Legon Swimming Club, Daniel Opare, has tagged the ChannelOne TV National Swimming Championship as an important competition to swimmers.

He said this in an interview on Citi FM’s Breakfast Show after leading the Legon Sharks to win the 2024 ChannelOne TV Swimming Championship that took place at the Borteyman Sports Complex.

Legon Sharks beat last year’s champions, Marlins Swimming Club, to the mark in the 2024 edition of the competition and Opare believes that the competition is one that is important to swimmers.

“The two day championship to me was an important one for our swimmers. It’s one event that our swimmers always look up to because it showcases what they have done over the period. To our swimmers it’s so important to them, it gives them the avenue to drop their times.”

“We prepared well and thanks be to God we were able to win” he added in the interview that had Legon Sharks club administrator Emmanuel Sam and Marlins coach Lady Majid-Michel present.

GH Dolphins and Marlins finished in second and third place respectively in the overall standings. Scroll down to watch video.
