Ex Kumasi Asante Kotoko striker, Steven Mukwala, has officially joined Tanzanian giant Simba Sporting Club after a two year run with the Porcupine Warriors.

The 24 year old’s time with the Kumasi based side was successful with the Uganda striker registering 25 goals and seven assists in 59 Ghana Premier League games.

He scored in both legs of Ghana’s biggest league clash between Kotoko and Hearts including grabbing a brace in a 2-0 win over Hearts in the matchup at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi.

Following the conclusion of the 2023-2024 season that had Kotoko finish sixth in the league standings, Mukwala announced his exit from the club.

The former URA Kampala striker joins Simba on a two year deal after the serial CAF Champions League campaigners announced the signing of Joshua Mutale.

Mukwala is one of 21 players to exit Kotoko after the season with the likes of midfielder Richmond Lamptey joining Rwandan side APR. (Click highlighted text to read full story)
