Nsoatreman Football Club Executive Chairman Dr. Baffour Awuah has stated emphatically that Maxwell Konadu left his role as head coach of the club with his blessing.

He said this at the official unveiling of Yaw Preko as head coach of Nsoatreman following the exit of Konadu in the wake of the club’s win in the MTN FA Cup.

Nsoatreman beat Bono rival Bofoakwa Tano in a penalty shootout to win the FA Cup and qualify to compete in next season’s CAF Confederation Cup. (Click highlighted text to read full story)

However, Dr. Baffour dispelled the rumour that Maxwell Konadu left his role unannounced before adding that he was aware of his impending departure and went ahead to bless the move.

“I want to state clear that it isn’t true that Coach Maxwell Konadu left us without prior notice. He came to me and indicated to me what his plans are and I gave him my blessing. I even asked him to help in the search for his replacement so us getting a new coach was done with the help of Maxwell Konadu.”
