Young English midfielder has praised the efforts of West Ham United teammate Mohammed Kudus after a friendly game against fellow English Premier League side Wolverhampton Wanderers.
He said this after Kudus scored West Ham’s consolation goal in The Hammers 3-1 loss to Wolves during West Ham’s preseason tour of the US.
The game was played out at the EverBank Stadium in Jacksonville in Florida in a game that was highlighted by Kudus blessing the son of a fan in a manner akin to Lionel Messi’s iconic photo where the Argentine legend was captured bathing Lamine Yamal in October 2007. Yamal recently won the Young Player of the Tournament Award at the 2024 Euros after scoring a goal and adding four assists.
“Obviously Mo [Kudus, who scored West Ham’s goal just before the break] was really good today and as a team I thought we created some chances through things we’d worked on in training” Potts said to West Ham media.

Kudus is heading into his second season with West Ham after starring in his debut season.
