Accra Hearts of Oak Sporting Club head coach, Aboubakar Ouattara, has indicated that he believes in quality more than quantity in relation to player transfers.

He said this in a briefing with the media as he answered questions on player transfer and recruitment which is the offseason item for a Hearts team that finished in 14th place.

Hearts is billed to play against Kpando Heart of Lions and Medeama SC in preseason games after losing 2-1 to big rivals Kumasi Asante Kotoko 2-1 in the Democracy Cup.

On player recruitment, the Ivorian trainer stated that he prioritizes quality over quantity after stating that former Hearts Board member Alhaji Akambi and Hearts Board member Vincent Odotei-Sowah don’t recruit players for the team. (Click highlighted text to read full story)

“The number I need, it’s not very important. It is the quality of the player and the position that I need. If I say I need 10 players, which place (position) are these 10 players going to play. I have my targets, first choice, second and the third according to the price on the market.”
