Former footballer turned football pundit, Jamie Redknapp, has praised Black Stars forward Antoine Semenyo for his wonderful start to the 2024-2025 English Premier League season.
Semenyo scored in the opening week and registered an assist in AFC Bournemouth draw results against Nottingham Forest and Newcastle United respectively.
Speaking after the game, Redknapp highlighted Semenyo’s positive play against Newcastle as Bournemouth celebrated its 125th anniversary.
“Semenyo on the right wing, is an absolute star…it cost 10 million pounds from Bristol City, what a great signing he was. He is worth a fortune; such a graceful, powerful player. He’s got everything that young man.”
Semenyo started as the main striker against Nottingham but moved to the right side as Bournemouth’s record signing, Evanilson, led the line for The Cherries game against Newcastle where Semenyo registered his first assist of the season.
The 24 year old is expected to feature for the Black Stars in 2025 AFCON qualifiers against Angola and Niger on September 5 and September 9 respectively. Scroll down to watch video.
