Ghana Black Stars winger, Abdul Fatawu Issahaku, has described his debut game in the English Premier League as a “special day”.
He said this in an interview with Leicester City media after registering an assist in Leicester’s 1-1 draw with Tottenham Hotspurs to open The Foxes 2024-2025 EPL campaign.
Leicester City has returned to the EPL after gaining promotion from the EFL Championship; Leicester got relegated following the conclusion of the 2022-2023 season.
In his first game in the EPL, Issahaku played out the entire duration of the game and chipped in a cross that Jamie Vardy nodded in for the equalizer in the 57th minute and Issahaku was pleased with how his debut game went.
“This day was a special day. My debut in the Premier League, was a great feeling and it’s great to take a point and I’m so happy and it was a dream come through for me and we keep going.”

“There’s difference in the Premier League because there’s more intensity, there’s more running, you have to keep on coping up with the (opposition) team and yeah there are differences but we keep going.”
