Hasaacas Ladies have been eliminated from the WAFU Zone B qualifiers after failing to secure a top two spot in Group B of the qualifiers.

Hasaacas’ elimination ends the team’s chances of progressing to compete in the CAF Women’s Champions League.

The Sekondi based team finished third in the group with four points after picking up a 6-1 win over AS Garde of Niger, a goalless draw with Omnisports of Burkina Faso and losing 3-0 to Edo Queens of Nigeria.

However, Hasaacas had a goal difference of +2 goals while Omnisports completed the group phase with a goal difference of +4 goals to progress with Edo Queens.

Hasaacas’ failure to score in the first two games was addressed by assistant head coach Emmanuel Mensah and ended up costing the Ghana League Champions a return to the main competition. (Click highlighted text to read full story)
