Ghana Black Stars forward Jordan Ayew has described his debut goal for Leicester City as a special one with his goal coming in his debut start for the club he recently joined.
Jordan Ayew scored in the 38th minute by rifling a brilliant strike into the net from just outside the penalty box in a 4-0 Leicester City win over Tranmere Rovers in the second round of the Carabao Cup.
The 32 year old went on to assist Wilfred Ndidi’s goal that put Leicester City up 3-0 and after getting praised by Leicester City manager Steve Cooper for his goal and performance, Jordan Ayew tagged his goal against Tranmere as a “special one”. (Click highlighted text to read full story)
“I’m really really happy. The crowd was good to me. It was important for us to win because we haven’t won since the start of the season so today was very important for us. It was a special one (goal). I thank God that it’s gone in but the most important thing is that the team, we managed to get the qualification for the next round and hopefully we can get a run.”
