The former Aston Villa and Crystal Palace player played 27 minutes in his debut as Leicester City lost 2-1 to Fulham after picking up a 1-1 draw with Tottenham Hotspurs in the opening round.
Faes scored what turned out to be a consolation goal for Leicester and in his post-game interview, the Belgian praised the debuts of new recruits Oliver Skipp and Jordan Ayew.
“Obviously, Jordan has a lot of experience and you could see when he came into the game, some of the little fouls that he won, it’s all about that experience that we need, especially in some big moments in games.”

Jordan Ayew is expected to be part of the Black Stars call up for 2025 AFCON qualifiers against Angola and Niger in September.
