Black Stars forward Jordan Ayew has officially joined English Premier League club Leicester City.
The signing brings to an end a long running transfer interest from The Foxes for the former Crystal Palace player who was with the London club for six seasons after playing for Swansea City and Aston Villa also in the Premier League.
Ayew joins Leicester City on a two year deal reportedly worth eight million pounds including add-ons according to South London Press journalist Edmund Brack. (Click highlighted text to read full story)
In six seasons, Ayew made 212 appearances for The Eagles and was entering the final year of his contract with Palace before the transfer was made.
By joining Leicester, Ayew reconnects with Leicester manager Steve Cooper after the pair worked together at Swansea.
Speaking in his first words after joining the club, Ayew stated to Leicester City media that,
“I’m very happy to be here and I’m proud. I want to thank the Club as they fought hard to bring me here – it happened quickly and I’m so happy to be here.”
“As a player, when you hear that the manager wants you, it just makes you want to come and work under him and to try to improve. Even though I’m 32, as a player you always want to learn and improve. I’m here to work hard and help the team achieve their targets.”

Ayew also joins Black Stars teammate Fatawu Issahaku at Leicester City.
