Nsoatreman, Samartex to face off in Champion of Champions Match on August 31

Ghana Premier League Champions FC Samartex and MTN FA Cup Champions Nsoatreman FC will face off on August 31 at the TNA Stadium in the Champion of Champions matchup in Tarkwa.

The game was officially communicated by the Ghana Football Association (GFA) with the game scheduled to kick off at 18:00 GMT. The game is a curtain raiser for the 2024-2025 Ghana Premier League season that kicks off on September 6.

The newly built TNA Stadium, which is a 10,000 seater plush stadium and serves as the home ground of Medeama SC, was recently commissioned with a game involving Kumasi Asante Kotoko and Medeama marking the occasion. Medeama won 2-1. (Click highlighted text to read full story)

Nsoatreman and Samartex will feature in the game after competing in the second leg of their respective CAF campaigns later this weekend.

Samartex take on Cameroon’s Victoria United on Sunday, August 25 at the Accra Sports Stadium after picking up a 1-0 win in the first leg.

Nsoatreman beat Elect Sport of Chad 3-0 at the Accra Stadium in the first leg and play the second leg on August 24.
