Africa World Airlines (AWA) are talking tough ahead of competing in the 2024 Citi Business Olympics that is scheduled to take place on Saturday, September 28 at the Eden Heights Sports Complex.
The annual corporate sports events is set to attract over 60 companies and have over 2,000 corporate workers compete in several sports disciplines including basketball, volleyball, tennis and special competitions including seven aside football, sack race and arm wrestling.
Speaking ahead of the event on ChannelOne TV’s “Breakfast Daily”, Brands and Communications Manager of AWA, Joselyn Andoh, was confident her outfit will transition its winning feats in aviation to the Business Olympics.
“We are no strangers to winning that is what it is. Once in a while, we need to take off our shoes…join in the fun and exercise. We don’t really find the time to do these things so to interact with other people the way this platform provides. So we said…why not we give this a try, come and show what we are capable of outside the cockpit.”
