Black Stars head coach Otto Addo has stated that it is his responsibility to get Black Stars players to show more passion than they did in their last outing.
He said this in an interview after watching the Ghana Premier League game between Legon Cities and Medeama Sporting Club at the Legon Sports Stadium where he described Medeama as deserved winners after the Tarkwa side picked up a 1-0 win. (Click highlighted text to read full story)
Ghana’s last outing had the Black Stars draw 1-1 with Niger after losing at the Baba Yara Stadium 1-0 to Angola in the 2025 AFCON qualifiers.
The Black Stars performance was slammed by fans over the team’s poor body language and seeming lack of commitment and passion.
“My message to the fans is… I want us to show a different picture than the last match. I think there was no passion on the pitch and it’s my responsibility and I have to make sure they show it on the pitch and if we show this we can win against every team.”
Ghana takes on Sudan next in the 2025 AFCON qualifiers in October.
