Otto Addo, Black Stars head coach, has urged his team to improve in utilizing its chances and defending better in upcoming games.

He said this after Ghana drew 1-1 with Niger in Morocco in a 2025 AFCON qualifier after losing 1-0 to Angola at the Baba Yara Stadium.

Despite taking a 1-0 lead in the 44th minute through Alidu Seidu, Ghana conceded an Oumar Sako goal in the 81st minute from a corner kick to stay without a win two games into the qualifiers.

In his address after the draw with Niger, Otto Addo expressed massive disappointment in the result and pointed to the need for improvement from his team. (Click highlighted text to read full story)

“We have to improve much. We have to improve to use our chances and also to defend better in detail. Like I said, the goals are too cheap and we have to grow from this. This is even more than a wakeup call.”
