Kpando Heart of Lions head coach, Bashir Hayford, has stated that his side is on the right track after making an unbeaten start to the 2024-2025 Ghana Premier League season.

He said this in a post-game interview after Heart of Lions drew 2-2 with Dreams FC in Tema on the back of beating Accra Hearts of Oak 2-0 and drawing with Aduana Stars.

Despite holding a 2-1 lead, Lions missed out on a second win in three games after conceding a Joseph Esso equalizer in the 88th minute but the veteran trainer stated that he was okay with the result.

“We have played three matches and we have still not lost so we are on a good track so I think it’s okay and we have to capitalize on this and maybe move forward. It means we have to make sure we maintain our undefeated status for some time.”

“As for away games, if you get a draw, it’s perfect because as for away (games), there are so many dynamics so I think it’s good for me.”

Heart of Lions rank third in the Ghana Premier League standings at the time of writing.
