Black Stars winger Joseph Paintsil has described the Los Angeles Galaxy’s record setting feat in the Major League Soccer (MLS) as amazing.
He said this in response to the Galaxy becoming the first team in league history to have four players register at least 10 goals in a season.
The record setting feat came on the back of Galaxy’s 4-2 win over Vancouver Whitecaps in a game that had Paintsil score his 10th goal of the season.
Gabriel Pec and Riqui Puig also got on the scoresheet to also get into double digits in goals for the season. Teammate Dejan Joveljic has 14 goals for the season to set up the quartet for the record feat.
Speaking on registering double digits in goals in his debut season, Paintsil praised the team’s technical staff and added that,

“Kudos to the technical team, kudos to everyone involved in bringing us together as a team…we did it as a team and it’s really an amazing thing that the four of us have 10+ goals. It’s really a plus for us. It will also give us the confidence to do extra more and to also write our name in the history book of LA Galaxy.”
