Nsoatreman Football Club head coach, Yaw Preko, says his team is taking the belief and confidence gained from progressing to the second round of the CAF Confederation Cup in its maiden campaign in the competition into the new Ghana Premier League campaign.
He said this in an interview with the club’s media ahead of the 2024-2025 Ghana League season with Nsoatreman set to play against Young Apostles in its opening game at 17:00 GMT on Sunday, September 8.
Nsoatreman is coming off a 5-0 aggregate win over Niger’s Elect-Sport in the CONFED Cup though Yaw Preko’s team lost the Ghana Super Cup 1-0 to Samartex FC after qualification in Africa was secured.
“We went to Africa, it was hectic but we managed to sail through and we are taking that confidence and belief into the Premier League to make sure that we start very well.”
In its maiden campaign in the Ghanaian top flight, Nsoatreman finished fourth in the standings and won the MTN FA Cup to qualify to the CONFED Cup.
Nsoatreman will take on Algeria’s CS Constantine in the CONFED Cup second round on September 13 and 20 respectively.
