Sudan defender Abdelrahman Kuku had a positive feedback about the Accra Sports Stadium pitch after featuring in his team’s goalless draw against Ghana.

The 2025 AFCON qualifier was the first of back to back games against Ghana in Group F as both countries battle for one of two qualification spots.

Sudan survived a barrage of scoring opportunities for Ghana that had the likes of Ghana captain Mohammed Kudus miss a huge chance in the 88th minute.

Ahead of the game, Sudan assistant Ignatius Fosu complained about conditions of the training pitch his team trained on. Pitches in Ghana have come under severe scrutiny and played a big role in Ghana almost missing out on hosting the crucial game outside its borders. (Click highlighted text to read full story)

However, 25 year old Kuku had a positive verdict on the Accra Stadium pitch after the game as he described it as good.

Abdelrahman Kuku

“The pitch was good so you can’t complain about the pitch we can’t say anything about the conditions. You guys had your fans, the field was what you guys picked and the field was good so it was good game and we executed what we were told to do and we played a good game.”
