Head coach of Ghana’s National Men’s Football Team Otto Addo has defended his team’s forwards after Ghana’s goalless draw with Sudan at the Accra Sports Stadium in a 2025 AFCON qualifier.
Addo’s defence came on the back of the Black Stars wasting several chances in front of goal to miss out on bagging its first win three games into the 2025 AFCON qualifiers.
Black Stars forwards Inaki Williams, Antoine Semenyo and creative midfielder Mohammed Kudus were wasteful in front of goal in the game.
Ghana next takes on Sudan on Monday, October 14 at 13:00 GMT in Libya due to security concerns in Sudan. Despite the frustrating play in front of goal, Otto Addo backed his attackers to come good in the next game.
“I think they’ve shown on every level they can score all of them and I believe in them; they will score the next game.”
