The Accra Sports Stadium has been cleared to host the crucial 2025 AFCON qualifier between Ghana and Sudan on October 11, 2024.

The Group F encounter has third placed Ghana scheduled to play against second placed Sudan in the first of a double header.

In a video credited to the Ministry of Youth and Sports, several facilities that had come under intense scrutiny over their poor condition were captured in pristine shape.

The washrooms, tunnel area, dugout area, playing surface, dressing rooms and referees area had been massively upgraded when Sports Minister Mustapha Ussif visited the venue.
