The Red Devils’ misfortune in the 2024-25 campaign continued as they went down 2-1 against West Ham in the Premier League on Sunday.
This was the team’s fourth defeat in nine outings in the current season as they dropped down to 14th position on the league table.
Despite the loss against the Hammers, Ten Hag remained positive as he claimed his team can turn the season around as they are playing quality football.
Speaking to reporters at his post-match press conference, the Dutch coach said, “In this moment, definitely the luck is not on my side [but] it’s not about me, it’s about the team, and it’s not on our side.”
“And last season was not different, but in the end, we turned this around and we are [were] so determined it would be the same case today. But we have to turn this around and it will turn around if we keep playing like we are playing now and, in this block – Brentford, Fenerbahce, today, we played really good football.”
The Red Devils will hope to end their misery and get back to winning ways on Wednesday as they host Leicester City at Old Trafford in a EFL Cup round of 16 clash.
